Which gun to review next

Hey boys and girls,

I get requests all the time for one gun or another and its difficult for me to choose some times. Bear in mind that I don't have the resources to answer every request, but I am interested in what you think I should review next.

Although not necessarily binding, I will be taking a poll on the most popular guns and will be tabulating the votes over the next 2 weeks.

If you want to vote, leave a comment with the name of the gun your want to submit for consideration along with a short summary of why you think I should put your pick on the top of the list.

For example:

Gun Choice:

Echo 1 MP5

Reason this gun is better than the others:

My echo 1 mp5 can turn water into wine and is generally magical. That is why Airsoft Reports should review this gun.

Seriously, though, if you want to see a particular model reviewed please tell me why you feel that way, I am always interested in some good airsoft conversation.

Thanks!

1. I apologize for my long absence from reporting on all things airsoft. I have been studying for and (hopefully) passing my bar exam (the exam you have to take to become a lawyer) and its been intense. I can assure any of the viewers that I will continue Airsoft Reports, however, the pace will not be what it was in its prime. I really like doing this work so in many ways this is a labor of love.

2. I have received a juicy tip from an anonymous source regarding the future of the Chinese "clone" airsoft market and a potentially game changing new competitor. I will have more information on this in the next few days so stay tuned!

Battery Station Service is Grade A+!

Battery Station and its emplyees/owners have shown me uncommon honesty and helpfulness. On top of these invaluable traits, their prices are very good which will make them one of my regular stops for batteries and the like.

Just an example of what I am talking about in regards to these guys frankness is found in this forum post regarding whose 123a batteries are "better". http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=62590

In short, the Battery Station guy does not blow smoke or try to cloud the issue; he simply replies that the Surefire batteries are better than his product, but not by much (less than 10% in most cases and more than %10 cheaper). He goes on to say that his batteries are still good, but that he doesn't want to disparage the competition (and in fairness he does sell the SureFires as well, but as a re-seller). The posts by other users that follow his show a wide base of support for his product and many, many users wholeheartedly recommended his products.

On top of this, I was looking for some input about the use of rechargeable 123a cells in my Surefire E1B backup and the first guy I called (from a competing battery seller) flat out told me that they wouldn't work. I had seen many forum posts saying that the right kind of lithium ion rechargeables could and did work just fine, but the first guy wouldn't even take the time to tell me why he thought the way he did.

By stark contrast, the fellow over at Battery Station was cordial, patient and helpful. He even pulled out an E1B of his own to make sure the cell he was talking about would fit the flashlight. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the operation and I want to let others know about them and their services. I asked them about airsoft batteries and while they don't have pre-assembled packs, they make all manner of custom packs on demand.

Also, they appear to make custom flashlights (though I've not tested them) with great output at a reasonable cost.

If you are in the market for a good battery pack, battery, flashlight etc... definitely take a look at Battery Station!

Honesty and integrity in business are not nearly as common as they should be and these guys have those qualities in droves. I for one would love to see that type of ethic rewarded and they will definitely get my business.

October is nearly halfway over and time is flying by at an insane pace...at least on my side of things. That said, I've got a few announcements;

As some of you know, my academics are taking up a lot of my time. HOWEVER, I do have SOME spare time and I will be using some of it to bring you some select reviews on airsoft products.

#1. The CidaAirsoft Grenade: We just got this little puppy in and we've yet to test it, but initial impressions are generally positive.

#2. A REALLY cool, custom airsoft gun (Probably): I can't yet divulge the details of this one just yet as I'm currently sworn to secrecy. However, from what I've heard about this model from the inventor it will promise to be one of the coolest airsoft guns that we've tested to date. I promise to give you guys the full details as soon as I am allowed to.

#3. I am always on the lookout for quality content, so, if you fancy yourself knowledgeable on all things airsoft and you want to try your hand at slamming out some blog posts, drop me a line as I could make you an (unpaid) guest blogger.

In the mean time, I will do my best to answer your questions on the blog so feel free to keep em coming!
